Federal Aviation Administration alerts Indiana aviation accident lawyers- Plane crash involving a ultralight aircraft left two dead.

Bloomington, IN—An ultralight aircraft crash in Greene County, Indiana, left two people dead. The plane crash happened Tuesday evening, August 25, 2009 at 6:15 p.m. about four miles east of Bloomfield, as reported by WTHR.

According to police officials, it is unknown what caused the crash, but they believe the aircraft was traveling southbound over the Shawnee Airfield when it tried to take a left turn onto the northbound landing strip and crashed. Witnesses stated seconds before the crash they saw no signs of problems or distress. The 2006 Sport Flight Astra HKS was carrying David Johnson, 68, of Linton, and Mark Muzii, 42, of Bloomington when it fell from the sky and killed the two occupants. Witnesses rushed to the plane crash and attempted to administer first aid, but both of the men were unresponsive. The two victims were reportedly still buckled into the plane and had their helmets on. The two deceased men were apparently employees of SAIC, a defense contractor at the Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center. Weather is not believed to be a factor in the fatal plane wreck. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) http://www.faa.gov/ is expected to arrive at the scene of the crash on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, to complete a full investigation.
