New York minivan collides with SUV going wrong direction results in fatal crash and several injuries.

New York, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) –   A minivan traveling home from a family camping trip collided head on into a Chevy Tracker SUV. The SUV then crashed into another vehicle, killing 1 child and injuring 2 others in this tragic accident. The minivan was driving the wrong direction going south in the northbound lanes on the Taconic State Parkway in Westchester, New York, announced by the New York Times.
The minivan, driven by 36 year-old Diane Schuler, was en route home with 5 young children when she entered onto a northbound ramp toward Pleasantville by mistake launching her into traffic. The minivan collided with a Chevy Tracker, which propelled the minivan to roll off the side of the road into the embankment, throwing the 5 children and the woman onto the median. The already mangled SUV then hit a Chevy trailblazer, killed all three people in the SUV vehicle, and left the man and woman in the Chevy suffering only minor injuries.
The driver and 2 passengers of the Chevy Tracker were three men from Yonkers – a Father, Son and their close friend. The one survivor rescued from the minivan was a 5-year-old boy, son of the driver, Diane Schuler. The other passengers in the minivan, all under 10-years-old, was her 2-year-old daughter and her 3 nieces, ages 5 and 7 and 9. Schuler’s son suffered major head wounds and other serious injuries, stated fire rescue crew.  He was transported to the Westchester County Medical Center and he is now in stable condition after undergoing surgery on Saturday night.  Investigators say that the reenactment, to determine the cause of this fatal crash, will take months.
