New Jersey plane crashes in Belleplain - News by New York Injury News
New Jersey (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) — New Jersey State Police reported that a man lost his life during a minor plane crash on the night of June 20th in Cape May County. A spokeswoman witj the Federal Aviation Administration, Holly Baker, confirmed one fatality which was found at about 8 pm in the debris. She also said that they cannot confirm any information about the aircraft and its pilot and will only be done after further investigation.
Belleplain is a village under the Dennis Township and is situated southwest around 30 miles from Atlantic City, in the southern part of New Jersey.
Sgt. Stephen Jones reported that the plane went down in Belleplain at around 7:55 pm. He said that the debris scattered on the parking area of the Fire Department of Belleplain and the nearby roadway. Any other details such as the kind of plane, identities of victims and whether there was anyone on the plane are immediately was not made available but police officials said that they are looking to see if any other aircraft was also involved in this incident.
Sgt. Julian Castellanos said that they have already confirmed one plane and are on the look out to find any other plane involved. Local news sources have reported that it was a small aircraft of acrobatic/stunt type aircraft involved and it was in the center of its nosedive maneuver at the time it crashed.
The Rescue Squad of Belleplain reported that the plane crashed and caught fire on Route 550 for which the firefighters of Dennis Township were immediately summoned on the scene. No further information was revealed by officials.
